Privacy Policy – ISG App

This Privacy Policy describes how the ISG App ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application.

1. Who We Are

The ISG App is operated by the Islamische Studentengemeinschaft (ISG). It is an internal management tool for administrators, teachers, and parents within the ISG community.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate the app:

• Account information: Name, email address, and role (admin, teacher, parent, student).
• Educational data: Attendance records, exam grades, group assignments, and semester information.
• Uploaded content: Images and files uploaded by teachers as educational materials.
• Messages: Text messages that administrators, teachers, and parents send to each other or to a group inside the app, with the sender, recipient, and time.
• Device identifier for notifications: A push notification token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, so that new messages can be shown on your phone.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used solely to:

• Manage student enrollment and attendance
• Organize classes, groups, and exams
• Allow parents to track their children's progress
• Enable teachers to manage educational content
• Deliver messages between administrators, teachers, and parents, and notify you about new messages

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties. All data is stored on our own servers and is only accessible to authorized ISG administrators and teachers. Messages are visible only to their sender and recipients. To deliver notifications, the notification token and a short notification text are passed to Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which acts only as a delivery service. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the community. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time using our account deletion form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeMxIiN_NNyqDVwXpZithiZWBS9wu1I5JH9DRlcP0OhgTSffA/viewform. Your account and its data (profile, messages, notification tokens) are deleted within 30 days of the request. The school may keep students' academic records (attendance, grades) for as long as it is legally required, and then deletes them.

6. Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

7. Children's Privacy

The ISG App is intended for use by adults (administrators, teachers, and parents). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Please contact the ISG administration or use the account deletion form above.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
